St Tudy Community Shop Newsletter March 2017

Committee News:

Lots of progress is being made on accessing grants for our much-needed Shop Extension. We have been awarded a grant of £25,000 from The Prince’s Countryside Fund and a further bid for funding from Power for Change is progressing well and we are hopeful of an early decision – watch this space!

Newspaper Vouchers Many people use pre-paid vouchers for their newspapers. However, if vouchers are not presented on the correct day this causes confusion and problems with accounting, leading to shortfalls which has cost the shop money. Karen is offering to hold your vouchers safely in the shop. Please see her if you wish to do so. Of course, you don’t have to take advantage of this service and you can continue to produce your voucher on the day, or pay cash. So, if you forget your voucher, with effect from 1st May the policy is NO VOUCHER – NO PAPER.

It really is SIX YEARS since St Tudy Community Shop opened its doors! To celebrate and to say “thank you”, the Management Committee would like to invite all our customers to join us at The Village Hall on Saturday 22nd April between 10am and 12 noon for tea or coffee, birthday cake and to sample some of our products.
